Potterton Associates Ltd was founded in Worcester in 1994. The practice is a Registered Member of the Landscape Institute and trades as a Limited Company.
The practice principal, Charles Potterton, is a Chartered Member of The Landscape Institute and Director of Potterton Associates Ltd. He holds a BA Degree in Landscape Architecture (Glos 1982), a Diploma in Landscape Architecture (Glos 1983) and has been practicing as a Landscape Architect since 1984. His qualifications are BA DipLA CMLI.
Charles is Chairman of the Conservation Area Panel, which advises Worcester City Council on matters affecting the 11 Conservation Areas across the City.
He is also regularly employed as a Consultant Landscape Architect by a number of Local Authorities including Swindon Borough Council, Bath & North East Somerset Council, Malvern Hills District Council, Herefordshire County Council and Mendip District Council to deal with landscape matters arising through the development control process. He prepares consultation responses for a wide range of planning applications that are deemed likely to have an impact on the landscape.
Charles also acts as Expert Witness on a regular basis for both private and public clients. He has a broad base of experience in both public and private sectors. He sits as a Landscape Architect on the expert panel for DESIGN : MIDLANDS, a design review service, based in Birmingham. He has a keen eye for detail and has excellent graphic skills.
Potterton Associates Ltd are currently employed as project Landscape Architect for a number of major development projects. These include the design and implementation of the various landscape schemes together with the preparation of long term management plans. This experienced practice has built a reputation for the quality of its design and presentation work and prides itself in being able to deliver a high quality project on budget and on time.
